Some of the families of Israeli captives held in Gaza say they heard 'nothing new' from US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff during his visit to Tel Aviv, and doubt the assurances given. Witkoff also visited the so-called Hostage Square, walking through a crowd of demonstrators earlier on Saturday. 

Al Jazeera’s Hoda Abdel-Hamid reports from Jordan's capital, Amman. She's there because the Israeli government has banned Al Jazeera from reporting inside Israel and the occupied West Bank.

Steve Witkoff visits Tel Aviv: Thousands demand immediate ceasefire deal with Hamas

The humanitarian situation in Gaza worsens as starvation deaths rise sharply and medical facilities face targeted strikes. Discover the urgent need for aid and the ongoing violence impacting civilians and aid workers.

The hunger crisis is deepening across Gaza.
The government media office says just 36 aid trucks entered the Strip on Saturday - more than 600 need to enter Gaza each day to meet the basic minimum requirements. 
At least 169 Palestinians have starved to death since Israel's war began, including 93 children. 
And more than half of those deaths have occurred in just the past two weeks.  

The Palestine Red Crescent says one of its staff members has been killed in an Israeli attack on its headquarters in southern Gaza.
The air strike on the building in Khan Younis started a fire on the first floor. 
Three other Red Crescent staff members were injured in the attack.

Israel's forced displacement plans: Rights group warns of ethnic cleansing

Calls are getting louder for the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation centres to be shut down.
They come as another 29 Palestinians were killed at the sites on Wednesday, while seeking food.
More than 640 people have been killed since the GHF began operating five weeks ago.
The Swiss government has initiated proceedings to dissolve the Geneva branch of the GHF citing legal shortcomings.
The UN Secretary-General's office says the globally accepted humanitarian standards must be followed while distributing aid.
