These eye-catching machines are built from fibreglass and powered by high-performance jet ski motors, giving them the striking silhouette of a luxury supercar while keeping them buoyant and fast on the water. Anyone aged 16 and over can take the wheel, with a speed limit of 30 knots — enough to deliver a genuine rush while remaining manageable for first-timers.
"It's a little bit surreal — like I'm sitting in a car and it's floating on the water and we're doing decent speed," said Jet Ski Safaris owner Richard Goldman, capturing what many participants are likely to feel the moment they push the throttle.
Tours, Pricing and the Hawkesbury Experience
Jet Ski Safaris is currently offering two guided tour options departing from Brooklyn's Hawkesbury Marina: a 30-minute session priced at $399 and a fuller one-hour experience at $799. The operator says the attraction is already drawing strong interest, with tourists and walk-in visitors making their way to the area to try something genuinely unlike anything else on offer in the country.
"It's the only experience of its kind at this point in Australia," Goldman said.
The greater Sydney region has long had a reputation for embracing novel waterside attractions, and the jet car concept appears to be finding a ready audience among locals and visitors alike.
A Growing Fleet and Bold Plans Ahead
The current lineup of supercar-styled vessels is only the beginning, according to Goldman. A wave of new models is on its way to Australia, with the operator confirming that a G-Wagon-styled craft, a six-seater Lamborghini and a Ferrari-inspired design are all expected to join the fleet.
Beyond expanding the roster of vehicles, Jet Ski Safaris has its sights set on broader opportunities. Plans are already underway to offer couples the chance to arrive at their wedding aboard one of the jet cars — a dramatic entrance by any measure. Further down the track, customers may even have the option to purchase one of the vehicles outright.
"We've got a lot of cars coming to Australia at the moment," Goldman confirmed, pointing to strong momentum behind the venture.

If there is one thing Goldman is certain about, it is that the jet cars do not go unnoticed. "It definitely turns heads, that's for sure. If you don't like being looked at, don't get in one," he said.
