Sunrise co-host Matt Shirvington is set to front a brand-new prime-time game show on Seven, with the network confirming he will host Stacks Of Cash when the series premieres in 2027. The announcement was made at Seven Media Group's 2027 Upfronts event on Thursday, where the broadcaster laid out its upcoming slate of programming.
What is Stacks Of Cash?
Described as a high-stakes entertainment show, Stacks Of Cash takes the familiar appeal of stacking games and scales it up into nail-biting, family-friendly play-along television. The format was developed jointly by Eureka Studios and the Seven Network, and the series will be available on both Seven and the network's streaming platform, 7plus.
Shirvington, widely known by his on-air nickname "Shirvo," is a former Olympic sprinter who currently co-hosts Sunrise alongside Natalie Barr. The breakfast programme remains Australia's most-watched in its timeslot, drawing an average audience of 442,000 viewers. The new hosting role adds a significant prime-time dimension to his television career.
Part of a busy 2027 lineup for Seven
Stacks Of Cash is one of several new titles Seven unveiled for its 2027 schedule. Also joining the network's lineup is Caught in the Middle, hosted by Shane Jacobson, as well as the returning I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!, which will be fronted by Ricki-Lee and Jim Jefferies in its upcoming season.
The Upfronts event, held on Thursday, served as Seven's formal presentation to advertisers and industry partners ahead of the new broadcast year. Shirvington's expanded role across both breakfast television and prime-time entertainment signals the network's confidence in one of its most recognisable faces.
Stacks Of Cash will air on Seven and 7plus in 2027.
