Global pop sensations KATSEYE have confirmed their first-ever Australian performances, announcing shows in Melbourne and Sydney as part of an expanded leg of their WILDWORLD tour. The six-member group will perform at Melbourne on February 24 before heading to Sydney on February 28, marking a long-awaited debut Down Under for their growing Australian fanbase.

Mysterious projections teased the announcement

The news broke on a Thursday following a wave of fan speculation triggered the day before, when mysterious projections displaying the word "WILD" appeared across both Sydney and Melbourne. The cryptic campaign whipped up excitement online before the official announcement confirmed what many had suspected: KATSEYE were coming to Australia.

Tour expansion covers Asia, Australia and New Zealand

The WILDWORLD tour was originally set to conclude in late November, having already sold out shows across North America, the United Kingdom and Europe. The newly announced extension will now take the group through a significant stretch of the Asia-Pacific region before wrapping up entirely.

The expanded leg gets underway in Yokohama, Japan, on January 27, with the tour then moving through Manila, Hong Kong, Seoul, Cebu, Singapore, Bangkok and Taipei. After the Australian dates, the group will bring the tour to a close at Auckland's Spark Arena on March 5.

Fans keen to catch a sold-out stadium experience closer to home may draw comparisons to other major international acts making waves on the touring circuit. Local audiences have recently seen strong demand for international concert tours, underlining the appetite for major live music events in Australia.

Who are KATSEYE?

KATSEYE was formed in 2023 through a talent competition called The Debut: Dream Academy, a joint project between South Korean entertainment powerhouse HYBE, the agency also behind BTS, and US record label Geffen Records. The group was assembled from a pool of more than 120,000 applicants worldwide, with six members ultimately selected: Daniela Avanzini, Lara Raj, Manon Bannerman, Megan Skiendiel, Sophia Laforteza and Yoonchae Jeung.

The group officially debuted in 2024 and quickly built an international profile with hits including Touch, Gnarly and Gabriela. Their rapid rise was underscored by two nominations at the 2026 Grammy Awards, including Best New Artist and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for Gabriela.

An Australian connection behind the music

There is a notable local thread woven into KATSEYE's success. Music producer Taka Perry, who co-wrote and produced the group's hit Touch, grew up in Canberra before relocating to Sydney shortly after finishing high school to pursue his music career. His involvement gives Australian fans an extra reason to feel connected to the group ahead of what will be a landmark debut visit.

Ticket and venue information for the Australian shows has not yet been detailed in the announcement.
