Australian musician G Flip and American reality television star Chrishell Stause have confirmed they have separated after more than four years together, with both sharing emotional statements on social media on Tuesday.

Stause, 45, best known for her role on Selling Sunset, posted a heartfelt video to Instagram in which she described herself as a "failure" while acknowledging the relationship had come to an end on terms that differed from what she had imagined.

"We have agreed to treat this public separation with respect for each other. That's not hard for me because I am in love with this person," Stause said in her video statement.

G Flip, whose full name is Georgia Claire Flipo, also addressed the news on Instagram, confirming the split and expressing deep affection for Stause despite the painful circumstances.

What G Flip and Chrishell Stause Said

In her video, Stause spoke candidly about navigating heartbreak while remaining grateful for the relationship they had built together.

"I just have to heal and figure this out. It's hard, it's painful. I'm a lover girl, I swing big, I miss," she said. "Or maybe I don't miss, maybe these are the seasons you're meant to have."

She reflected on their time together with warmth, adding: "I had an amazing over-four-years with G so maybe that's not a miss. It's just coming to terms with it being a different ending to what you had imagined."

G Flip, 33, kept their statement brief but equally sincere. "After 4+ years, Chrishell and I are no longer together. I will always love her; we will always share a special connection and I cherish our memories together deeply," they wrote.

"My head and heart are feeling very heavy right now, and I'm not able to talk, but I want to thank you all for your support and appreciate you respecting our privacy at this difficult time."

How G Flip and Chrishell Stause's Relationship Began

The pair first crossed paths in October 2021 at a Halloween party, though they had previously met briefly through Stause's work as a real estate agent. In a notable coincidence, both arrived at the gathering wearing matching skeleton costumes, having not coordinated their outfits. G Flip had invited Stause to a show they were performing in alongside Tones and I.

At the time, Stause was still in a relationship with her Selling Sunset co-star Jason Oppenheim, a partnership that ended in December 2021. She publicly confirmed her romance with G Flip during the Selling Sunset reunion in May 2022, introducing the musician to viewers and explaining that their relationship had blossomed after she agreed to appear in one of G Flip's music videos.

"They're non-binary, so they go by they/them. And they are an extremely talented musician," Stause told the show's host and her castmates at the time.

The couple married in Las Vegas in May 2023, with Stause announcing the news on Instagram alongside a video set to G Flip's song Be Your Man. "Love doesn't always go as planned ... sometimes it's immeasurably better," she wrote in the caption. They later renewed their vows in Australia in July 2024, and celebrated again with a medieval-themed ceremony in July 2025.

A Difficult Journey to Start a Family

The split comes after the couple had spoken openly about the significant challenges they faced while trying to build a family together. In March 2025, Stause revealed they had encountered a number of obstacles during the adoption process, though she kept the finer details private.

"We've kept the details a little under wraps, just because I don't think it helps anybody to go into all the details," she said at the time, while expressing that progress was being made. She encouraged others navigating similar experiences to keep going.

The couple's family planning struggles had been a recurring theme in their public conversations, adding another layer of difficulty to what was already a high-profile relationship conducted largely in the public eye.

G Flip's Career at a High Point

The separation comes at a professionally triumphant moment for G Flip, who recently performed alongside pop icon Kylie Minogue at the AFL Grand Final. The performance drew widespread praise, with Stause herself taking to Instagram in the days before the split to celebrate the achievement.

"G you KILLED IT!!!! Every ounce of your hard work paid off you are SUCH a STAR!" she wrote following the performance, a post that now carries a poignant weight given the news of their separation.

Both G Flip and Stause have asked the public to respect their privacy as they process the end of their relationship. Neither has indicated whether any further details about the reasons for the split will be shared publicly.
